We're launching a new strand here at the Lexi called LEXI SELECTS! Our programming team bring you a curated weekly release that didn't get the attention it deserved here. Some may be films we missed from earlier this year, some may be from a few years ago, but they're all exceptional films which we think our audience will adore.
For 2026, we present our year-long season 'Spotlight' celebrating four international female filmmakers through four dedicated programmes, each featuring three films.
We opened the season with the acclaimed Palestinian director Annemarie Jacir, following the incredible success of her recent feature Palestine 36.
Our next season, running from April to June, will be on the Italian visionary director Lina Wertmüller, who was the first female director to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director for her film Seven Beauties (1975).
Details of the remaining filmmakers will be announced throughout the year.
All Sunday screenings will include an introduction, with tickets priced at £10.
