When Rick (Paul Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny (Nick Jonas) during a gig, the two bond over music and a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves - even if it means risking everything he cares about. For 2026, we present our year-long season 'Spotlight' celebrating four international female filmmakers through four dedicated programmes, each featuring three films.
We opened the season with the acclaimed Palestinian director Annemarie Jacir, following the incredible success of her recent feature Palestine 36.
Our next season, running from April to June, will be on the Italian visionary director Lina Wertmüller, who was the first female director to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director for her film Seven Beauties (1975).
Details of the remaining filmmakers will be announced throughout the year.
All Sunday screenings will include an introduction, with tickets priced at £10.
Over one weekend, we'll be screening all 10 nominees for Best Picture at the Oscars 2026.
The Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday 15th March and this year we're rolling out the red carpet to all ten of the Best Picture nominees in the days before! As a lot of these films have been out for a little while tickets are only £10 but we've added a 'supporter' price of £15 too. If you're able to pay the larger amount that'd really help us to cover the costs of doing more of these one-off looking back projects.
