Film Africa: Crocodile

Screening as part of the 2026 edition of Film Africa.

CROCODILE is a coming-of-age story about nine young Nigerians who, in a country shaped by Christianity and marked by political difficulties, discover their voice through sci-fi filmmaking.

Shot by the protagonists themselves over twelve years, CROCODILE reveals a widening worldview as they grow beyond the boundaries of their Nigerian homeland.

The film develops its own unique cinematic language, blending self-shot observational documentary, science fiction, and Nollywood influences.

Original languages: English, Pidgin, Hausa, Yoruba
