After eight (!) astonishing films in the iconic franchise, it seems Tom Cruise is retiring IMF agent Ethan Hunt as he faces his final mission in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - THE FINAL RECKONING. He and his team must try and stop Gabriel before he can obtain an AI program that can weaken the world's stability. The film opens at The Lexi from Friday 30th May and your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to book your tickets now!

Our big releases for May are due at the end of the month but we'd be remiss if we didn't highlight the surprise box office hit of April: SINNERS. Michael B. Jordan pulls double duty in this vampiric genre-bending blockbuster that has been selling out screens worldwide and finally sinks its teeth into The Lexi this Friday. It'll be joined by Paolo Sorrentino's latest romantic drama PARTHENOPE. Set in sun-kissed Naples and starring Celeste Dalla Porta and Gary Oldman, the Italian master returns with another tale of great beauty.

SINNERS is already generating Oscar buzz for its incredible soundtrack and music lovers are spoilt for choice here this month. ONE TO ONE: JOHN & YOKO had a packed house in on Easter Sunday and we're bringing it back next week for some select shows. On Thursday we're hosting a Lexi Fundraiser screening of ABBA: AGAINST THE ODDS, a rare chance to see this in a cinema with all proceeds from the screening donated to The Sustainability Institute. And on a narrative side we think our audience will really respond to THE MARCHING BAND. A charming, hilarious and heart-breaking French tale about a successful orchestra conductor who learns that he is adopted, and that his younger brother is in a competitive village marching band! If music be the food of love...

A personal favourite I wanted to flag is APRIL, the masterful second feature from Georgian filmmaker Dea Kulumbegashvil who deservedly won the Special Jury Prize at Venice Film Festival last year. If you're looking to chase that with something lighter then we've got two laugh out loud comedies joining us in a couple weeks time. A modern re-imagining of Ang Lee's 1993 classic THE WEDDING BANQUET and ANATOMY OF A FALL's Sandra Hüller in German film TWO TO ONE will both have you rolling in the aisles. Stand by for us getting titles like THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME, THE SALT PATH and HALLOW ROAD on sale in the coming days, sign up to our weekly newsletter to be the first to know when we do.

David Attenborough celebrates his 99th(!) birthday this week and we're welcoming his latest documentary OCEAN to our screens for a handful of shows. As always, we're bringing the stage to the big screen, this time with the smash hit SIX THE MUSICAL LIVE! A double TONY award-winner about Henry VIII's six wives. We're also giving you one last chance to see NT LIVE: THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST if you missed our first two runs. And finally, Exhibition on Screen returns with its latest cinematic journey: MICHELANGELO: LOVE AND DEATH.

Coming on a Tuesday? Remember you can bring a friend for free! And not forgetting £6 tickets all day for members on Mondays.
