USING BUSINESS TO DO GOOD

The Lexi is a Social Enterprise. We’re here to change lives through film both locally and globally, and we need to be financially sustainable to do this. We’re proud to be one of many independent businesses within the unique local eco system of shops, bars, designers, makers, suppliers and traders that make up the business community of Kensal Rise.

Since the pandemic, and with the ever-rising cost of running a venue, our main focus has been getting bums on seats, selling enough tickets, popcorn and wine to keep the lights on and the doors open. Thanks to our volunteer powerhouse we're in a better position than many cultural venues in the UK. But at the same time, we’re always thinking about our mission to change lives through film, and asking the question: how do we keep our community and access programmes going while the Lexi box office is still recovering after Covid?

The answer is found in our local community - a remarkable network of business friends who are partnering with us in different ways to support their independent cinema and keep the magic of cinema available to everyone.

North West London institution Cameron's Stiff & Co (who knew you could love an estate agent this much!) are now proud sponsors of The Lexi Membership scheme. Fantastic local eatery Morty & Bob's are adding an optional 50p to every £20+ bill, which will go directly to our community screenings.

We’re always looking for businesses large or small who might want to hire our beautiful building or buy memberships for their staff team, or perhaps adopt a strand to sponsor in our programme! We're currently looking for sponsors for our Family Fun programme this summer, which includes screenings every week for hard of hearing and neurodivergent children, and subsidised tickets for local school holiday clubs. Please do drop me a line if you'd like to find out more: rosie@thelexicinema.co.uk.
