Our volunteers are at the very heart of all that the Lexi does. We are committed to community; to fund raising for our charity in South Africa; and to airing and sharing the very best film out there! Without the fabulous people who pitch in every day to help in the operation of the cinema we wouldn’t be able to open our doors, much less be a centre for fund-raising! Think you might like to join us?
We look for people who are able to commit to a minimum of one 3 hour shift per fortnight, and we offer 2 free tickets in return. Volunteer duties include selling tickets & memberships; providing information about films and events in our programme; raising awareness of the charity we support; bar duty; light cleaning and other front-of-house tasks to help keep the cinema running smoothly. And, if you are very lucky, you might get inducted into the mysteries of the marvellous popcorn machine…
We are committed to providing a high quality experience for all volunteers, and the work would not be otherwise undertaken by a paid member of staff. We are a signatory of the London Volunteer Charter and have been used by Greater London Volunteering as a best practice case study.
