Vanessa Kirby stars in Polly Stenham's new version of Stindberg's passionate tragedy, live from the NT

Polly Stenham’s second play for the National Theatre is a new version of Strindberg's endlessly adapted ‘Miss Julie’. Directed by Carrie Cracknell (The Deep Blue Sea), it stars Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, A Streetcar Named Desire) as the eponymous young woman who celebrates her newfound singledom by throwing a wild party and becoming entangled in a savage fight for survival with the help, Eric Kofi Abrefa's Jean. Combining posh people and savage fits of passion, the story seems like a perfect fit for Stenham.

Please note that Julie will contain strobe lighting.
