An exclusive preview screening of one of this year’s most exciting films, accompanied by the film’s director and co-writer. Rocks is a London teenager with ordinary cares; kicking with her crew and helping to look after her little brother. Returning from an ordinary day at school, she discovers her mother isn’t home – just a little cash and an apology note. Fearing that she and her brother will be separated by social services, Rocks decides not to tell anyone.

Based on a script by award-winning playwright Theresa Ikoko and Claire Wilson (The Little Drummer Girl), this superb drama was developed through extensive workshops with director Sarah Gavron (Suffragette) and the female cast, all of whom were discovered through casting sessions at schools. The result has garnered rave reviews at film festivals, and drawn favourable comparisons with Céline Sciamma's 2014 triumph Girlhood.

Not released in the UK until 10th April, this is a fantastic early opportunity to experience once of the most anticipated films of 2020, introduced by its creators.

"The most authentic film about British teens in years."  Independent
