We are very pleased to be participating in the "Let's Talk About Death" project, which offers people the opportunity to engage with death and dying through film and discussion.

The feature documentary Dead Good is preceded by a short, Holding Space. Both films explore the closely related themes of end-of-life care, dying, and funerals. Afterwards there will be a panel discussion with both directors – Rehana Rose (Dead Good) and Rebecca Kenyon (Holding Space) – and a death Doula.  Nuala O’Sullivan, of the Women Over 50 Film Festival, will chair the discussion.

Dead Good is a sensitive and life-affirming documentary following three groups of people as they participate in the ritual of care after death. They are supported by a group of women who empower people to take back control.

Holding Space follows three people as they come to the end of their lives and looks at the relationships they have with their death Doulas, people trained to provide essential support on the journey towards death.

Both films will be subtitled, and there will be a BSL signer on the night.
