On the fiftieth anniversary of the first moon landing, never-before-seen footage and audio recordings recreate ground-breaking history through the first-hand experiences of astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. It's no surprise to find that NASA was documenting every stage, every step in this historic first moon landing, starting from astronaut selection right through to them finally exiting quarantine after their return.  What is a surprise is how vivid the story still is.  This treasure trove of super quality footage has been brilliantly assembled by director Todd Douglas Miller (with assistance from an outstanding soundtrack) so that we revisit this moment in history as an unspooling drama; one where even though we know the ending, we are enthralled. We recommend this to everyone, all ages, as a wondrous story of human endeavour, an adventure story - and an example of what we can achieve when we all work to a common goal.

"Eye-opening documentary is a five-star triumph.  An exceptional, vibrant restoration of never-before-seen footage results in one of the most astounding films about space ever made."  ★★★★★ Guardian
