Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D., an international peace keeping force. The agency is a Who’s Who of Super Heroes: Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johanson) – just as the film’s a Who’s Who for Who’s Hot in Hollywood right now! Back to biz, though: when the Earth is threatened by maladjusted god Loki (our own Tom Hiddleston), the team will need all of their diverse talents and energies to protect mankind.
Not only does this showcase an A-list of actors, but it boasts Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc, etc) as writer/director and he raises the game to a level of wit that matches the physical antics. Far exceeding the Marvel stable films that have preceeded it, this is fab fun for the whooole family!
