Documentary legend Errol Morris (The Thin Blue Line, The Fog of War) returns with one of the strangest and most captivating films of the year. Tabloid retells the mysterious story of Joyce McKinney, a woman who found fame for all the wrong reasons in the late ‘70s after kidnapping a Mormon missionary. Her side of the story: the two fell in love and simply eloped. An ex-beauty queen with an IQ of 168, McKinney remains something of an enigma, relishing every second Morris’s camera focuses on her but keeping the whole picture teasingly out of view. The truth is that you won’t really care all that much about the truth; Tabloid is simply a fun, frantic and at times astonishing ride!
