Fezeka's VoiceAfter sell-out screenings elsewhere, The Lexi is delighted to be showing award-winning documentary, Fezeka’s Voice. The film tells the inspirational story of one man and his life’s mission to use the transformative power of music to instill confidence, pride and hope into the children of his South African township. Featuring a stunning soundtrack, Fezeka’s Voice follows the challenges and triumphs of the Fezeka High School choir as they embark on the greatest journey of their lives – coming to England to perform.

The film has touched the hearts of those who have seen it. The Observer said it was, “warm hearted and heart-warming,” while The Times says, “it puts the X Factor to shame in terms of musical heroism. And Archbishop Desmond Tutu gave it the following endorsement: “Fezeka’s Voice needs to be shared with as wide an audience as possible. The power of mentorship, as demonstrated in this film, is extraordinary.”

A Q&A with director/ producer team, Holly Lubbock and Katherine Crawley, will follow the film.
