Sun 30 Jan, 1245

Left for dead in the desert, without future or past, survival is a desperate business for Baba (Pannu). When his borderline existence is discovered, Baba is offered shelter in return for his protection and he must challenge the tyrant who has made his protectors’ lives a misery. In return, Pali (Madan) agrees to accompany Baba on the quest to unravel his past. As violent flashbacks hint at tragedy, Baba must choose to return to his past or embrace a different future.

After theatrical releases in India and the US, and a special screening at the Cannes Festival 2009, Indian independent feature Soch Lo is being released on DVD. Join key cast members – writer/director/actor Sartaj Singh Pannu and Bollywood star Barkha Madan (both pictured right) – at the Lexi for a gala DVD launch screening, followed by a Q&A. To celebrate, tickets will be available at the special price of £3. The film will be shown in Hindi, with English subtitles.

Soch Lo is the inspiration of Pannu and his team of committed partners. What started as a short film took wing, and funding was raised via screenings of the work-in-progress on You Tube. The result reflects Pannu’s mainstream Bollywood experience, but is crossed with a fresh independent vision. Watch out Bollywood – this Indian Memento could be the model for the future!
